The Cube helps Indian families organise health records, reminders, and related insights. This notice explains, in plain language, what we collect and how we use it. It is not a substitute for professional legal advice.
1. Who we are
“The Cube”, “we”, and “us” refer to the operators of the The Cube app and this website (thecubelife.in). We are India-first and build for family caregivers.
2. What we collect
Depending on how you use the product, we may process:
- Account data — email, name or display name, and sign-in details (including Google sign-in if you choose it).
- Family profiles — member names or labels and other details you add to organise records.
- Health documents & notes — files and text you upload (reports, prescriptions, scans, expenses, reminders, Emergency Card fields).
- Usage & device data — app version, crash logs, and basic analytics needed to keep the service reliable.
- Payment data — handled by Apple, Google, or other payment providers; we do not store full card numbers.
3. How we use data
- To provide the vault, search, reminders, insights, and AI Health Companion features you request.
- To secure accounts, prevent abuse, and improve reliability.
- To communicate about your subscription, important service changes, or support replies.
We do not sell your health documents to advertisers.
4. AI features
When you use AI search or summaries, relevant snippets of your records may be sent to processing systems so the companion can respond. AI output can be incomplete or wrong — always check original documents and your clinician. See also our medical disclaimer.
5. Sharing
We may share data only when needed to run the service, for example:
- Cloud hosting, storage, and authentication providers;
- AI / processing vendors under contractual limits;
- App Store / Google Play for purchases and account identity;
- When required by law or to protect users’ safety and rights.
Family sharing inside the app follows the access you configure for your household.
6. Storage & security
Data is stored with industry-standard cloud providers and protected with encryption in transit (and at rest where the platform supports it). No system is perfectly secure; keep your device and login credentials safe, and use OS-level locks.
7. Retention & your choices
We keep account and vault data while your account is active. You can edit or delete documents and profiles in the app. To close an account or request deletion of remaining data, contact us (below). Some logs or legal records may be kept longer where required.
8. Children
Parents or guardians may add children’s records under a family account. The app is not directed at children signing up on their own.
9. International processing
Servers or vendors may be located outside India. By using The Cube you understand that data may be processed in those locations under appropriate safeguards offered by our providers.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. The “Last updated” date will change; material updates may also be noted in the app or on this site.
